Join us at Christiansburg Baptist Church for an exciting one-day VBS adventure! On July 18 from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, children will set out on a treasure hunt unlike any other as they explore God’s Word and discover that Jesus is the greatest treasure of all.

Along the way, they’ll visit three exciting Treasure Stops:

  • The Hidden Path — Follow Moses as God makes a way through the Red Sea when there seems to be no way forward.
  • The Lost Explorer — Join Jonah’s unforgettable journey and discover that God is a God of second chances
  • The Big Step — Watch Peter step out of the boat and learn how Jesus helps us trust Him, even when we’re afraid.

The adventure doesn’t stop there! Kids will enjoy games, a bounce house, delicious treats, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends and lasting memories.

Our theme verse comes from Colossians 2:3:

“In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Throughout the day, children will discover an important truth: Jesus Is the Treasure We Seek.

Admission is free, but space is limited, so registration is highly encouraged. Invite your friends, neighbors, and family members to join the adventure.

Pack your curiosity. Bring your friends. Get ready to discover Hidden Treasures—because every treasure hunt leads us to Jesus!

Theme:
Jesus Makes a Way

Bible Passage:
Exodus 14:10–31

Key Truth:
When I can’t see a way, Jesus makes a way.

When Moses and the Israelites stood at the edge of the Red Sea, they were trapped. The water was in front of them, and Pharaoh’s army was racing toward them from behind. There was no bridge, no boat, and no escape. But when everything seemed impossible, God made a path where there wasn’t one before. That day, Moses discovered a priceless treasure: when we can’t see a way forward, God can make a way.

Theme:
Jesus Gives Second Chances

Text:
Jonah 1:1–17; 3:1–3

Key Truth:
When I fail, Jesus gives me another chance.

When Jonah ran from God, he thought he could escape God’s plan for his life. Instead, he found himself caught in a storm, thrown into the sea, and swallowed by a giant fish. Deep in the darkness, Jonah realized something important: God had not given up on him. Even after Jonah’s disobedience, God gave him another chance to obey. Jonah discovered a hidden treasure that day: God is a God of second chances.

Theme:
Jesus Helps Us Trust Him.

Text:
Matthew 14:22–33

Key Truth:
When I trust Jesus, He helps me take the next step.

When Peter stepped out of the boat and onto the water, he was doing something no one had ever done before. As long as he kept his eyes on Jesus, he walked on the waves. But when he looked at the wind and the storm around him, fear took over and he began to sink. In that moment, Peter learned a valuable lesson: when we keep our eyes on Jesus and trust Him, He helps us do what we could never do on our own.too.
