Claytor Lake Picnic 2019

Join us Sunday, June 30, for a picnic at the lake! We will be at Picnic Shelter #1 in Claytor Lake State Park for a fun, relaxed afternoon.

What Do I Bring?

Bring blankets, lawn chairs, outdoor games, and a side or dessert to share. The church will provide the hamburgers and hot dogs.

Please bring $5/vehicle for parking and pay at the booth when entering the state park. If you need help with the parking fee, let us know.

When Should I Come?

Come as early as you like, but we plan on eating around 5:30pm.

How Do I Get There?

Use the following address and directions:

6620 Ben H. Bolen Drive, Dublin, VA 24084

Take I-81S to Exit 101. Turn left onto State Rte 660, which will take you into the park.

Stay on State Park Road until you reach a fork in the road. Go left at the fork and keep driving to the large parking lot at the end of the road. Shelters #1 & 2 will be on the right near the water.

How Can I Help?

We will need volunteers to help:

• Prepare supplies and food ahead of time
• Set up at the park
• Cook the meal
• Clean up (both at the park and at the church)

We also need our church family to help with sides and desserts to share.
