Ministry Fair – Spring 2017

Ministry Fair – Spring 2017

It takes a small army of volunteers to accomplish the work God has given us as a church to do, and at our first Ministry Fair, we saw just how many are needed!

After the morning service, we got together for lunch in the church Fellowship Hall. Representatives from various church ministries set up displays for those interested in finding a place to serve. Here are just a couple of images to give you a peek at what went on:

The Bridge Group

Time: Sundays after Morning Worship

This unique group is an opportunity for high school, college, and career young adults to hang out together and learn to look at life through a Biblical lens.

Life In Community Groups

The following groups will be walking through a six-week study of the book Life in Community by Dustin Willis. This study will challenge us to develop and deepen gospel-centered, life-changing relationships with our church family that also draw others in. This will help build on what God began last Fall through our small groups.

“When people live in community marked by the gospel and moved by the spirit, God does work. They commit to one another. They grieve together, sing together, and eat, pray, and play together. They love, serve, honor, encourage, and provide for each other gladly. And they live on mission together. Hearts are healed, walls come down, and outsiders come in.”
(from Life in Community)

God’s Power In Ordinary People: A Look at the Life of Elijah

God's Power in Ordinary People

Do you ever look at the incredible people in the Bible and feel like you are too ordinary to be used of God? Perhaps you think you aren’t smart enough or young enough or old enough for God to use you.

Through the months of October and November, we are going to challenge the idea that God only uses extraordinary people by looking at a great prophet named Elijah. We will see God use him in great ways, and we will see him in a deep depression. Through it all, we will see that God loves to pour His power into ordinary people like us.

Samson: The Weakest Strongman on Earth

Samson: The Weakest Strongman on Earth

Samson: The Weakest Strongman on Earth

Many think of Samson as an incredible man of strength. God used him to defeat the Philistines time and time again in the face of unimaginable odds.

Yet, is Samson a hero to be emulated? A close look at his life shows us things aren’t always as they seem.

Join us on Sunday mornings in October as we walk through some of the highlights and low moments of Samson’s life. Perhaps you might find out more about yourself along the way…just like Samson, you may not be as strong as you think.
